This Project is nestled on a legacy family ranch. the old homestead is still standing, lovingly maintained by the family. 120 acres of wildfire mitigation helps to protect that legacy for the next generation.
This project began in a snowstorm. It may not be much fun operating in these conditions, but it sure is beautiful covered in snow.
The first unit of this project required significant treatment including landfalling, skidding, decking, and masticating. Here Jeff is preparing to fell a tree.
Our fearless leader and owner of the company.
Taking a moment to appreciate the beauty we work with.
Once the trees are felled, we skid them out of the work area.
A view from inside the cab.
Once the logs are decked, we load them into trailers and deliver according to the client request.
Finally, mastication can begin on any limbs, and smaller diameter trees.
We love working along side wildlife. This project was visited daily with antelope and elk, as well as turkey. They are not bothered by the activity. We'd come back to the job site in the morning and see fresh sign of Elk walking through.
The client requested logs be left on another part of the ranch for consumption.

Once we complete a unit within a project, we walk the perimeter and flag for inspection day. I always love flag days.
